The Department of Meteorology says that some rain may occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
The department also mentioned that there may be rain or thundershowers at a few places in the evening or night in Uva and Eastern provinces.
From Puttalam through Colombo and Galle to Matara, there may be rain in a few places in the sea areas off the coast, and in the sea areas around the island, the winds are blowing from the southwest and the wind speed is at (20-40) kmph also mentioned in the announcement.
