The Department of Meteorology says there may be several periods of rain in Eastern and Uva provinces and Polonnaruwa and Matale districts.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers might occur at places in the evening or night in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western and Southern provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
In some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, mm. More than 50 degrees of heavy rain may also occur and foggy conditions may occur in some places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces in the morning.
The Department of Meteorology says to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
