The Department of Meteorology says that in the next few days favorable atmospheric conditions are being created for thunderstorms in the evening in Uva, Eastern, North-Central and Northern provinces.
Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-West provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts will experience some rains. The department states that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in other areas.
Some parts of Uva, Eastern, North-Central and Northern Provinces received mm. A high of 75 is possible.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
