The Department of Meteorology says that on the 10th, there may be rain or thundershowers in Eastern and Uva provinces and Mulativu and Vavuniya districts in the evening or at night. The department stated that some rain may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
The rest of the island may experience mainly rainless weather.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
