The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the evening or at night in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces today (09).
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
Also today (09) at 12:12 noon, the weather department further mentioned that the sun will rise over the areas of Madampe, Kohilapokuna, Kaikawala, Nilambe and Ondachchimadam.
