Four years have passed since the brutal terrorist attack on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. The terrorists had targeted 03 Catholic churches and 08 places including 03 hotels in Colombo.
On the same day, small explosions also occurred in a housing complex in Dematagoda and a lodge in Dehiwala. All these explosions killed around 269 people and injured at least 500 people including 45 foreigners and police officers.
On this day, four years after the attack, various programs have been organized to remember the dead in various places including Catholic churches across the island.
