Three individuals who were caught while making and selling fuel replacements by adding various chemicals have been freed on bail of Rs 100,000 each.
The three suspects were apprehended in the Madapata region, according to intelligence obtained by Police Intelligence personnel assigned to the Mount Lavinia Division.
This gasoline replacement was created by the 45-year-old suspect. He got a chemical substance from Dubai and combined it with a frequently utilized chemical variety in the country to create this fuel substitute.
The suspect informed police that he worked in Dubai for a time and had the technical knowledge required to create a fuel replacement there. According to police, he also hosted a television show on this product. According to police investigations, he has been creating and distributing this substance for approximately a month.
It was also discovered that this gasoline was predominantly used by three-wheelers and motorbikes.
A litre of this liquid was sold to a potential consumer for Rs. 1000.
