Yesterday, the World Bank granted $700 million in budgetary and social assistance for Sri Lanka, according to news sources.
The majority of the funds—about $500 million—would go toward financial support, while the remaining US $ 200 million will go toward welfare assistance for individuals who have been most severely impacted by the crisis.
