Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, says that the claims made that he receives a monthly salary of 25 lakh rupees as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka are false.
Accordingly, he states that, in addition to this, the allegation that he receives a pension from the International Monetary Fund also has no truth.
The Governor of the Central Bank stated that as the Governor of the Central Bank, he receives a salary of Rs. 4 lakh rupees and which also was increased during the time period of Ajith Niwad Cabral as the CB Governor.
