The two sides have agreed to speed up the negotiation process for establishing a free trade agreement between China and Sri Lanka.
This was mentioned in the meeting held between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri during the 77th United Nations General Assembly session.
The two sides have agreed to jointly promote the One Belt One Road program.
Hambantota Port, Colombo Port City and other leading projects have also been discussed to boost Sri Lanka’s economic recovery.
