The doctors of the hospital said that because the radiation treatment machine called ‘Linear Accelerator‘, which treats children with radiation at Maharagama Hospital, has been disabled for two weeks, the treatment of children has been suspended.
The doctors say that about 15 children who have been affected by cancer are treated with the machine every day and in addition about 10 children who come after giving birth are also treated every day.
