President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that it is important to take the necessary measures so that the standard of living of all the people does not fall further, just like rescuing the country from the debt crisis.
While attending a discussion held this morning (01) with representatives of the International Monetary Fund who are in Sri Lanka, the President mentioned that although the beginning is difficult, progress can be achieved.
The President’s media wing also mentioned that the President has mentioned that the views should be changed to build an economy based on exports and that will make it easier to maintain social welfare work.
The purpose of providing this credit facility is to restore macroeconomic stability, restore credit sustainability, protect financial stability, and protect vulnerable groups, the Presidential Media Division further states.
