Public Utilities Commission Chairman Janaka Ratnayake says that the power cut will be extended to 3 hours for today only.
He mentioned that this decision was taken due to the sudden collapse of the third unit of the norochcholai power plant.
He further mentioned that he hopes to bring the power cut back to 2 hours and 20 minutes from tomorrow.
