Bandula Gunawardena, Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media, said that the necessary bill for turning the National Film Corporation into the National Film Regulatory Commission has been prepared.

In order to create a developed media culture in the country, the establishment of a specific learning institute is being discussed these days and attention has also been focused on establishing a higher education institute for cinema studies based on the premises of the Colombo University Studios with the support of the Government of India. said

Minister Dr Bandula Gunawardena said this while addressing the anniversary program of the Asian Media and Culture Association held at the Russian Center in Colombo. Sahab Member of Parliament Rajitha Senaratne also participated in this event. (Lankadeepa)
