State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that the stock of imported equipment to repair a cancer hospital machine that was detained by the customs was immediately released.
The minister also mentions that the stock of equipment has been held in the custody of the customs due to a late error on the part of the private company that imported them.
The minister said that the director of the hospital confirmed in writing that the equipment was needed by the cancer hospital and after that, they were released. (Divaina)
