Foreign media reports that he was 82 years old when he died.
It is said that he, the only player to win three World Cups, passed away while suffering from cancer and receiving treatment in a hospital.
Under Pelé’s contribution, Brazil won three World Cup titles in 1958, 1962 and 1970, and he is considered to be Brazil’s top scorer with 77 goals in 92 matches.
