China’s Sinopec Company, which joined the fuel distribution activities in Sri Lanka, opened its first fuel filling station yesterday (30) at Mattegoda, Kottawa. The fuel filling station, which was run by a local manager under the Mineral Oil Corporation, was handed over to the management of Sinopec yesterday.
In the future, 150 petrol stations will be put under the management of Sinopac and will be used for fuel distribution. It is also stated that 50 new fuel filling stations are to be started. Accordingly, Sinopec is operating 200 fuel-filling stations in Sri Lanka.
