The first Kumbal Perahera will tour the streets tonight (21), starting the historic Esala Perahera festival in Kandy. Accordingly, Perahera starts from Dalada Street and comes up from Temple Road along D.S. Senanayake Street and then the Perahara will enter Sri Dalada Maliga through Deva Street, Colombo Street, Yatinuvara Street, and Raja Street.
The Kumbal Perahara will be held on the streets from today (21) to the 25th and then the Randoli Perahara will begin on the 26th.
