The Ceylon Electricity Board says that the first generator of the inactive Norochcholai coal plant will be able to be connected to the national system by next Monday (29).
Accordingly, Ceylon Electricity Board’s media spokesperson Andrew Navamani stated that the maintenance work will be completed by Monday.
On the 15th, the first generator of the Norochcholai power plant suffered a sudden breakdown and due to this, the daily power cut had to be increased to 03 hours.
