The death toll from the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria has exceeded 15,000. It is said that search operations are still ongoing to rescue those trapped in the debris of the collapsed buildings.
Foreign media reports that the survivors are struggling for food and shelter and are working hard to save their relatives.
This earthquake, which showed a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale, occurred on the 6th of last year at around 4:00 am local time and the area where the earthquake occurred is located on the Turkey-Syria border. (Reuters)
