On the occasion of the Vesak full moon day celebrating the noble Sambudhu Themagula, a “Pindapaatha tour (පිඬුසිඟා වැඩීමේ පින්කමක්)” ceremony was held yesterday morning (03) with the participation of hundreds of saamanera monks in conjunction with the Buddha Rashmi National Vesak Festival which is being held these days at Gangarama Temple.
A special event was the giving of alms to the students and lay monks of the Bishop’s College near Gangarama during this Pindapadatha tour which travelled from Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple, Colombo 2 to the Colombo Municipal Council premises. (Lankadeea)
