A suspect involved in an attempted robbery near the Malayalapuram Army Camp in Kilinochchi was apprehended by an Army Sergeant and handed over to the Kilinochchi Police Station.
The incident occurred , when two individuals on a motorcycle allegedly attempted to rob belongs of Tamil couple walking along an alleyway near the camp. Acting swiftly, Sergeant Dinesh Kumara apprehended one of the suspects, while the other managed to escape during the confrontation.
The Kilinochchi Police have launched a special investigation to locate the fugitive, and further inquiries are being conducted under the supervision of the Officer-in-Charge of the police station.
