The Sri Lankan squad for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup cricket tournament has been announced today (16) by the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute.
The squad led by Dasun Shanaka includes 15 players and the selection committee has taken steps to nominate 5 three-sided players as well.
Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Charith Asanka, Dhanushka Gunathilake, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and captain Dasun Shanaka have been included in the squad as batsmen, and Vanidu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, and Dhananjaya de Silva have been named in the squad as all-rounders.
Dushmantha Chamira and Lahiru Kumara, who did not play in the Asia Cup due to injuries, as well as Dilshan Madushanka and Pramod Madushan, who performed well in the Asia Cup, have been named to the squad by the selection committee.
