A recent survey has revealed that Sri Lanka is the safest country for a woman to travel alone, says Time Out magazine.
Time Out magazine stated that many women born between 1997 and 2010 now prefer to travel alone. Time Out magazine has mainly included 9 countries in the rankings based on the results of that survey.
The magazine reported that many young women nowadays are motivated to travel even to the far corners of the world in search of new friends, different cultures and unforgettable experiences. The magazine pointed out that only a few countries have a safe environment for women to go on such an adventure alone.
According to the results of the survey, Sri Lanka has the first place among the countries where a woman can safely travel alone, followed by Portugal and the Czech Republic, according to Time Out magazine. The fourth position of the ranking is held by Japan and the ninth position which was the last position is held by New Zealand.
