Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says that despite the World Food Program stating that a global food crisis will be faced in the coming year, Sri Lanka has started a planned program to deal with it.
Minister Mahinda Amaraweera mentioned that there is also the possibility to produce the country’s rice requirement for the year 2023 within the country.
Also, the minister further mentioned that the farmers are being encouraged for other crop cultivations and for this, everyone’s support is needed.
