The Directorate of Welfare of the Sri Lanka Army conducted a special donation programme at Army headquarters on 12 August 2025 to provide laptops to government university students who are children of serving Army personnel.
Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. During the ceremony, a total of 57 laptops were distributed to the students.
This initiative aims to support the academic aspirations of the children of serving members by providing them with essential technological resources to help them excel in their studies.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and parents of the beneficiaries were present at the event.
