Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery is planned to resume from next week.
Accordingly, it is planned to start the work of the refinery after landing the crude oil that arrived on the island.
A ship carrying 100,000 metric tons of crude oil was scheduled to reach the island last night (13th) and in addition, another ship carrying 120,000 metric tons of crude oil is scheduled to arrive at the island between the 23rd and 29th.
