Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that the trade unions of the Petroleum Corporation have protested against the proposed restructuring plans. The minister mentions that they have been informed about the plans before.
While not challenging their right to protest, the minister further states that both the petroleum and electricity sectors should be restructured and the necessary activities will continue to be done for that purpose.
