According to Asela Sampath, president of the Restaurant Owners’ Association, a lunch packet and a cup of tea will cost less starting today.
A lunch packet would cost between Rs. 10 and 15 less, according to him, in light of recent price drops for LP Gas, gasoline, and other necessities.
A cup of tea would now cost between Rs. 30 and Rs. 40, he claimed, and the precise price will be revealed today.
Sampath noted that the country-wide LP Gas scarcity forced several businesses to close, but some of them have since resumed operations now that there is no longer a shortage.
