President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that the long-term friendship between Sri Lanka and the Philippines will be promoted by developing Asian regional cooperation.
The meeting between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. was held in Manila this morning (29), where the President mentioned this.
Much attention has been given to further strengthening the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Sri Lanka through new approaches.
Presidential Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff Sagala Ratnayake, Finance Ministry Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Philippines Shobini Gunasekara and the Sri Lankan delegation were present at the event, the Presidential Media Division said.
