President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to pay an official visit to Uganda to attend the 19th Head of State Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the 3rd South Summit of the Group of 77 & China.
The President Media Division stated that the President is joining the visit at the invitation of Yoweri Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda.
The 19th Summit of Heads of State of the Non-Aligned Nations (NAM) is scheduled to be held in Kampala, Uganda from January 19 to 20 under the theme “Expanding Cooperation for Shared Global Prosperity”.
The G77 and China 3rd South Summit will be held in Kampala from January 21st to 22nd and President Ranil Wickremesinghe will address both summits during this visit and talks will also be held with the leaders and representatives of the Global South countries in the African region.
