Dr. Harsha de Silva, a member of the SJB, cited a speech made by Minister Dhammika Perera in which he demanded that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe step down as Finance Minister. In response, the Prime Minister joked that he had answered every query from de Silva as if he were a member of the government and that he still needed to complete a few procedures to become a member.
At a media briefing yesterday, Minister Dhammika Perera stated that the country’s present currency issue cannot be resolved and that the dollar crisis is the root of all of Sri Lanka’s economic problems.
