In a heated argument yesterday at the parliament, PM Rani Wickramasinghe quoted one of the greatest batsmen of all time, William Gilbert Grace, on a match.
“During a match, WG Grace was bowled out and the stumps had fallen on to the ground. The cricketer had picked up the stumps and replaced them. The Umpire then told him, no, no,your out. However, WG Grace responded saying, no you fool, they came to see me bat and not to see you umpire,” He quoted.
Despite this Former captain of Sri Lanka cricket team Mahela Jayawardena has replied to the PM’s message with “Just to remind you that your not WG Grace and not sure if the SL public wanna see you or the other failed batsman bat again..:..
