The country’s educational system is undergoing modifications and artificial intelligence (AI) will be covered in the curricula for grades six to ten.
This change was proclaimed by Dr Susil Premajayantha, minister of education, in order to better educate students for the demands of the twenty-first century.
The ministry seeks to guarantee high-quality education and link it with international norms. The minister also went through the organization of the Sri Lankan Ministry of Education and underlined the necessity of an education system that is centred on the needs of the students.
The ministry wants to keep up with the “13 plus” education initiative and grow the education sector in cooperation with NGOs, despite challenges brought on by the COVID-19 epidemic and economic slump. It is suggested that AI and IT be included in the curriculum, and effective recruitment strategies are being used to find instructors and principals. The ministry is committed to defending children’s right to education and enhancing the system as a whole. (Source: NewsCutter)
