According to the Foreign Employment Bureau, facilities have been provided for Sri Lankans who are going abroad for foreign employment on their own to apply for the first registration and extension of pre-registration in the SLBFE through the online system.
Sri Lankans seeking employment can access the relevant service by accessing the Online Self Registration link on the official website of the Foreign Employment Bureau www.slbfe.lk and by using this facility to obtain a prior confirmation of the accuracy of the documents to be provided to the Bureau during self-registration through the online method. The agency says that it is possible.
Using this online facility to avail of the services provided by the Airport Bureau unit without delay on the day of departure for overseas employment, the bureau, which claims to provide opportunities to Sri Lankan workers, can get more information by calling the bureau’s 24-hour service in 1989.
