Former President Barack Obama says he believes incumbent President Joe Biden should drop out of the presidential race and another worthy Democratic candidate should run for president.
Barack Obama is America’s first black president. Obama held the presidency from 2009 to 2017. At that time, Obama chose Joe Biden as his second as well as vice president.
When Joe Biden first ran for the American presidency in 2021, Obama supported him. However, many in the Democratic Party have believed that he will not run in the upcoming November 5 presidential election, and Obama has also publicly said that it would be a wise move if Biden leaves the presidential race.
Biden’s problem is his age. 81-year-old Biden is also the oldest person to be elected president of the United States. Due to age, Biden has been hindered in making decisions and expressing opinions. This has been an advantage for the rival Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Although Biden continues to say that he can defeat his rival Trump, the majority of Biden’s Democratic Party believes that the party should present a young presidential candidate in place of Biden. (AFP)
