Buddhasasana Religious and Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickramanayake said that the visas issued for the pilgrimage to Mecca will not be sold in the first place as in previous years and if anyone is subjected to such injustices, the ministry is requested to be informed immediately.

The Minister who said that Uparima has prepared arrangements to provide fair services for the Muslims who leave the country for the Mecca Pilgrimage said that Uparima is not satisfied with only opening an office for the Muslims who leave the country for the Mecca Pilgrimage.

The Minister said this while attending the opening of the new office established in the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs to work in the panel of officers of the Hajj Committee appointed to provide services for Muslims. (Lankadeepa)
