The New Zealand team won the third and final ODI between the visiting Sri Lankan team and the New Zealand team by 6 wickets and won the ODI series 2 to 0.
In the third one-day match, the Sri Lankan team won the toss and decided to bowl first and at the end of 41 overs, they scored only 157 runs. In batting, Pathum Nissanka scored 57 runs, captain Dasun Shanaka scored 31 runs and Chamika Karunaratne scored 24 runs for the Sri Lankan team and none of the other batsmen could cross the 10-run mark.
The New Zealand team who played the reply innings managed to pass their winning target while losing 4 wickets. In bowling, Lahiru Kumara took 2 wickets, and Kasun Rajitha and Dasun Shanaka took one wicket for the Sri Lankan team.
