As a member of the Public Utilities Commission, Douglas N. Nanayakkara has been appointed.
Mohan Samaranayake and B.K.U.A. Wickramasinghe, who served as members of that commission had recently resigned from those positions.
Accordingly, Douglas N. Nanayakkara, an officer in the Public Administration Service, was for one of the vacant posts after their resignations. It is stated that Mr Nanayakkara has been appointed by the Ministry of Finance.
