The fifth round of negotiations on the Sri Lanka-Thailand Free Trade Agreement (SLTFTA) started in Colombo yesterday (26) morning. The chief negotiator of the Sri Lankan delegation of the International Trade Office, K.J. Weerasinghe noted that he can be satisfied with the progress of the negotiations related to the Sri Lanka-Thailand Free Trade Agreement, which is being implemented according to the agreed time frame.
He mentioned that the next round of negotiations will be held in Thailand from August 21 to 23, 2023 and the agreement will be signed in March 2024.
