McLarens Lubricants recognizes its best-performing dealers at the ADAN

McLarens Lubricants Ltd, a subsidiary of the diversified conglomerate McLarens Group and the authorized distributor for Mobil Lubricants in Sri Lanka, recently held its Annual Dealer Awards Night (ADAN) to reward the best-performing dealers from around 3,000 registered retail partners. Selected island-wide top-performing partners participated in this annual event, which was organized as an award ceremony, where 74 awards were presented under 7 different categories.

The long-awaited annual event was organized in the form of an award ceremony, gala dinner and an overnight stay at Jetwing Blue Negombo.

Ms Shehara De Silva, Group Managing Director of McLarens Group commented on the event, “We are thrilled to be able to take this opportunity to appreciate trade partnerships with our dealers and to recognize and award our top best-performing dealers. Even during these times of tough economic downturn, we will continue to support all our loyal retail partners island-wide in 2023, through unique loyalty programs providing benefits to both retailers and consumers, and in turn, we hope to help them grow and sustain their business.”

During the pandemic since early 2020 and with the ongoing economic downturn, McLarens continues to maintain its supply of products without interruptions and hindrances to trade. In April 2022, with the exchange rate increasing and global base oil and additive prices skyrocketing, all engine oil prices went up by more than 100% which in turn affected both the dealers and consumers. However, in December 2022, McLarens together with ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, reduced the prices of fast-moving Mobil products in the Sri Lankan market, making them affordable for consumers even during challenging times. ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, the manufacturer of Mobil lubricants has continuously supported the Sri Lankan market in developing retail and consumer promotions, and special recognition needs to be given for their marketing and sales support for Sri Lanka.

McLarens Lubricants along with Mobil has always provided support to retail partners and has been the market leader in introducing some of the benchmarking channel development programs for lubricant retail partners. Mobil, with a history of over 150 years, is recognized as the world’s No. 1 synthetic oil brand and is regarded widely for its quality, durability and exceptional performance. Lockheed is also a flagship brand under McLarens Lubricants Ltd, the No. 1 brake oil product in Sri Lanka and has had its footprint in Sri Lanka for over 80 years.

McLarens Lubricants has been in the lubricant industry for over 25 years, consisting of world-renowned brands such as Mobil and Lockheed under its portfolio. The company is also known for being the authorized distributor for Mobil and Lockheed products in Sri Lanka and Maldives, providing lubricant products and solutions to automotive, marine, power and industrial sectors.
