The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reports that 175,661 tourists arrived in the country during the first 29 days of March.
According to the latest data, 45,650 tourists arrived from India during this period, accounting for 26% of the total arrivals. Other key arrival figures for this timeframe include:
- United Kingdom: 17,030
- Russia: 15,579
- China: 13,449
- Germany: 12,603
- Australia: 10,219
Furthermore, the total number of tourist arrivals from January 1 to March 29, 2026, has reached 732,316. The Authority also noted that among these arrivals, the highest numbers were from India (145,390), the United Kingdom (77,358), and Russia (65,812).
