President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has stated at a meeting of the ruling party group that the most difficult decision he took in his political career was to remove Mahinda Rajapaksa from the post of Prime Minister.
The President has stated that he took that difficult decision for the country and that he is ready to make the necessary reforms for the future of the country.
Meanwhile, the President has stated that the 21st Amendment to the Constitution will be presented to Parliament at his discretion.
The President has stated that Ranil Wickremesinghe was appointed as the Prime Minister out of confidence in him and that the members of the People’s Front will also support him on that belief.
