According to the International Cricket Council’s latest player rankings, Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka has managed to move up 12 places to the 23rd place among the 20-20 batsmen. Off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana has moved up to the 10th position among the 2020 bowlers, where he was earlier in the thirteenth position.
Due to their performance in the first 2020 match against New Zealand, Asanka and Maheesh have come forward in the rankings. However, Pathum Nissanka has dropped two places to 15th and he was knocked out for a point in the first game.
Among the bowlers, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan is leading, followed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.
