The Presidential Media Division says that operations of the Lotus Tower will begin on September 15.
Built at a cost of nearly 113 million US dollars, the Lotus Tower is considered to be the tallest building in South Asia.
With the commencement of operations, the people of Sri Lanka will be able to get a ticket of 500 rupees or 2000 rupees and enter it.
It is said that a person who gets 2000 rupees tickets can go up the tower multiple times without queuing, while those who get a 500 rupees ticket can go up the tower only once.
The value of a ticket for a foreign tourist is 20 US dollars.
