The error that occurred in the computer system of the Department of Immigration and Emigration has now been rectified.
Accordingly, the Department of Immigration and Emigration states in a statement that it will be possible to get foreign passports again from today (09) morning.
Due to an error in the computer system yesterday (08) afternoon, the issuance of foreign passports was temporarily suspended from all regional offices including the Battaramulla head office of the Immigration Department.
