“Import vehicles on a credit basis from Japan” – President of the Association of Automobile Importers

Indika Sampath Merinchi, President of the Vehicle Importers Association of Sri Lanka (VIASL), said yesterday (14) that vehicles can be borrowed from Japan without spending dollars and a new vehicle can be imported at 70% less.

He also said that a ‘Vitz’ type car can be bought from Japan for 10 to 12 lakh rupees and can be sold at a reasonable price with taxes. (Lankadeepa)
