Around 2,000 customers queued up to buy kerosene at a Ceypetco petrol station in Hatton, blocking the Hatton-Colombo main road in front of the petrol station.
Protesting consumers in the Hatton area said they had not received stocks of kerosene since the last day (09) and that they had to wait in line for hours every day to return home empty-handed.
Hatton Police have taken action to divert traffic on the Hatton-Colombo main road due to the protest.
