The Ceylon Private Bus Owners’ Association says that the private bus service has suffered a serious collapse.
The president of the association Gemunu Wijeratne said that this situation has arisen due to the fuel crisis.
Gemunu Wijeratne mentions that although the government had informed to issue fuel for private buses from Langama depots in order to maintain the continuity of public transport services, the regional depots are refusing and restricting the issue of fuel for private buses.
