Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe says that due to the decisions taken by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, there are some positive results in the country’s economy.
Accordingly, the central bank governor points out that the severe shortage of foreign exchange in the past has been alleviated to some extent and it has been possible to find the necessary foreign exchange for obtaining fuel, gas and other materials.
The Governor of the Central Bank further stated that despite the lack of short-term credit facilities, it has been possible to manage the basic needs of the country at this time.
